How do I return an item?

Return Policy:

We can accept returns within 14 days of delivery receipt, but ALL RETURNS MUST BE APPROVED. There is a 25% restocking fee on returned parts. Printed materials such as manuals are not accepted or eligible for returns. All returns do require a Return Goods Authorization # from us prior to you sending items back to us. No shipping charges are refundable for ordered items. The cost of shipping will only be refunded in instances where the return is a result of our error. Please write your RGA # on the outside of the package. Please contact us ASAP if you have a return question/situation. Return shipping is the buyer’s financial responsibility and original shipping is non-refundable. After the item is received back to our warehouse, the purchase price will be refunded (less the 25% restocking fee) within 3 days, although it may take longer to appear on your credit card statement, provided that item is returned in the same condition as shipped. Photos are taken of the items at the time of shipping and will be verified upon return of the item for condition. No shipping fees are refundable. No refunds will be processed without return of merchandise, no exceptions. New in Package (NIP) boxes may be opened for the purpose of photographing, adding additional padding/packaging, or ensuring the completeness of the item. However…..THERE IS NO IMPLIED MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. All items are sold as-is, where-is with no warranty from Pillar Surplus, and no guarantee of manufacturer warranty coverage unless specifically listed in the item details.

If your product/package appears damaged in/from transit, please take photographs of the box/product and contact us immediately, as some items are insured. If you wish to have your item insured, please contact us. There is a different procedure to follow as this is not a return, we/you must file an insurance claim and this requires proof of damages. Please keep the packaging for the insurance claim in the event that the packaging needs to be examined. Failing to follow this instruction could result in the claim being denied. If the claim is denied due to not having the packaging, Pillar Surplus will not be held at fault nor will Pillar Surplus be obligated/required to refund a damage claim that was denied by the shipping/delivery company (i.e.: USPS, UPS, etc.).

Special Order items:
Any item denoted as special order is non-cancellable, non-returnable once ordered. Please be sure you wish to order the item and quantity before placing your order for this reason.

Labor:

We will not refund any labor costs that may have been incurred by you or the installer of the products purchased from our website.

PayPal Refunds:

Refunds for items paid for via a PayPal account (less the 25% restocking fee) will be applied to your PayPal account if the items are shipped back to the address listed on the front of your packing slip.

Refunds:

Refunds are issued in the same tender as the original purchase. The purchase price will be refunded within 3 days although it may take longer to appear on your credit card statement.

Misuse of merchandise voids all return/warranty policies.
